Abstract

Eventhough the advances in screening and early diagnosis in breast cancer, there are a lot of dramatic cases of locally advanced tumors and locorregional recurrences that demands great resections of the skin and in some cases the resections of the chest wall and the sternum. The author describe a personal technique of the chest wall reconstruction based upon the confection of a net of steel stitches, polypropylene mesh covered by muscular or myocutaneous flaps.
