Prevalence of obesity in women treated from breast cancer in an UNACOM in Juiz de Fora city

Objective: This study aimed at verifying the prevalence of pre-obese, corporal and abdominal obesity in a group of women admitted to treat breast cancer in a high-complexity care unit (Unidade de Assistência de Alta Complexidade – UNACON) in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. Methods: We conducted a cross sectional study including 50 patients with breast cancer, chosen for convenience and according to the criteria for inclusion undergoing oncological ambulatory treatment in an UNACON represented by Associação Feminina de Prevenção e Combate ao Câncer de Juiz de Fora (ASCOMCER).
